Polyester Double Braid Spliceable braided polyester sleeve over braided polyester core. This rope meets all the requirements of U.S. Military Specification MIL-R-24677. Polyester has the lowest elongation of the common rope materials making it the best choice where low stretch is required. In sea water it has a negative buoyancy of .257 gms/cc and therefore will sink rapidly. Polyester has excellent resistance to abrasion, sunlight, and most common chemicals.
